Alersteam is an small international game development company, mostly represented by people from Russia and Ukraine. The key word in Alersteam is “team”, a group of persons holding the same views, people who work together and share their goals and desires. We are a team of dedicated indie developers who desire to create “big” games.
Today there is a bid variety of people who call themselves game developers. Some of them can develop super big expensive and ambitious console or multiplatform games (so called AAA) or they just make casual games for mobile platforms. It could be a free-to-play MMO, extremely successful title for consoles or an application for a social network, but in general they all want the same thing and act the same way.
We are tired of this and disappointed a bit in the traditional model where the developer must submit to the publisher and work hard in order to make the game sell better but not to be actually a good game itself.
So we decided to take an indie path and we will stay indie as long as possible. We feel that today is a perfect time for us to step up and take this challenge because of the big interest to the independent developers. We are not developing some casual remake of old masterpieces or some kind of “killer” for an successful title.
What we want is to create a “mature” full scale game for PC because this specific platform has the most hardcore and active community that values old school design philosophy. We develop our debut project for those players who want to dive in an immersive world with great story and depth, with its own spirit and look and feel. We struggle to make a game with a strong heart and soul that will give you some unique experience, will make you and give you some decent challenge!
And we want to go this path side by side with the Community because we did not draw the border between us and the players. We are passionate players ourselves and we work hard to make our game intresting not only for others but also for us to play. We and the Community are inalienable parts of the development process. So Exoplanet: FC could be described as “brought for players by players”.
At the moment we are 2 guys working fulltime and some professionals who lend us a hand when they have time. With the help of the Community we want to increase our manpower and to speed up the development creating all content and reaching high standards of quality in our game.
